![]() Since January 2021 I’ve been using an Apple MacBook Air (M1) as my daily driver and have switched to a MacBook Pro (M2 Max) in March 2023. Even though I have a strong Linux background, I do like macOS quite a lot. Particularly, one of the great things about macOS is the huge amount of useful and well-designed apps, tools and utilities not only on from the App Store but also by side-loading. Therefore, in the following I will go through my post installation steps, i.e. which apps I install and use and which system preferences I choose. In other words, this guide serves as a reminder of what I set and how I use my MacBook.
